Grouping succulents with similar needs makes life so much easier—and mixing up different shapes and colors like this turns your pot into a mini desert scene that’s seriously art-worthy.
For your a 12" pot check the top inch of soil every 10–14 days and water only when it’s totally dry (a moisture meter can be super helpful if you’re not sure). Palm Springs heat dries things out fast, but honestly, overwatering is the bigger issue—especially for succulents which really hate soggy roots!
Try to place your arrangements somewhere with bright, indirect light—like near a window with a sheer curtain. That’s usually a sweet spot. If one plant starts looking a little sad or droopy, you might need to shift it around or adjust your watering a bit.
Fun bonus: succulents can change color slightly with more sun, so don’t be surprised if your little desert garden starts showing off some new shades over time!
When you're setting it up, keep in mind that the Zebra prefers a slightly drier spot or even a bit of elevation in the pot, since it needs less water than the others. And remember, even though they’re sharing a pot, each one might want slightly different lighting—so give them all a spot where they can thrive.
